Our Adoption Timeline

December 14, 2005 - Learned that Adoption was the path we were destined to take

December 18, 2005 - Received Application Packet in the mail from adoption agency

December 19, 2005 - Got Steph's application papers notarized (approximately 8 pages) and applied for Steph's passport

December 23, 2005 - Arik's physical exam (mine was in May so I did not have to get a new one)
Got Arik's application papers notarized (approximately 11 pages!)

January 6, 2006 - Mailed application to the adoption agency

January 12, 2006 - Social worker called to set up first homestudy appointment

January 28, 2006 - Received invitation letter for "PAC" class. PAC stands for Pre Adoption Classes.

February 16-17, 2006 - PAC Class- All day both days (counted as two homestudy visits; four are required)

March 30, 2006 - First formal homestudy meeting at the adoption agency

April 17, 2006 - Second (and final) formal homestudy meeting at our house this time.

June 4, 2006 - Dossier mailed to the agency!

July 10, 2006 - DTC!!!! Our paperwork headed to China

July 26, 2006 - LID!!!! Our paperwork has been logged into the China Center of Adoption Affairs database. This puts us "in line" for our precious baby girl...Very exciting day indeed!
